You Would Be Silly to Not Listen to Sriti Jha’s Poem on Finding Love as an Indian Lesbian.

Sriti Jha Poetry

Sriti Jha recites a beautiful poem at Kommune’s Spoken Fest 2019.

Despite all the love & friendliness, it damn difficult for gay & lesbian kids, to come out to their parents, especially when they are Indians.

Well, if you want to lead your life in true sense not by faking you have to gather the courage to speak out.

You know, it’s difficult to convince those whose thinking has been hardened by years of social conditioning.

In the journey of finding inner self, Sriti Jha also recounts her experience of finding herself, rediscovering love, conflicting souls & confronting her Maa Ki Mamta with this beautiful poem which she recites at Kommune’s Spoken Fest 2019.

By using lost keys as a metaphor, Sriti explains how her soul is lost or rather hidden in places that no longer can be opened.

Gradually, she explains the audience with a story of how her crushes turn out to be women instead of men & her mother turn into sympathizer but not a friend.

She concluded by telling years later when she found her lost love again how she gathers the courage to stand up for herself with no hard intention of hurting anybody else & her mother loves her than anybody.

Because in the end, if some lost keys let some closets open, then it would be better than those keys get lost only. only.
